AS Roma director Ricky Massara has confirmed that the club has officially pulled out of talks for Jadon Sancho after the winger’s rejection earlier this week.
“There are no conditions to proceed with this deal, especially as Sancho doesn’t have the motivations to join AS Roma,” Massara told reporters.
Deal collapsed
Negotiations with Manchester United had progressed in recent days, but Sancho’s reluctance to move to Serie A quickly ended Roma’s hopes.
Massara added that the club will now turn their attention elsewhere in the market, stressing that they only want players who are fully motivated to wear the Giallorossi shirt.
What next for Sancho?
The 24-year-old remains on the fringes at United, where his long-term future continues to look uncertain. With Roma out of the race, other potential destinations could emerge before the close of the window.
