Tottenham Hotspur are preparing one last push to sign Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City, according to reports.

Spurs have been chasing the 20-year-old all month, initially offering around £43 million (€50m), but City refused to consider anything below a significantly higher fee. Now, with the transfer window closing soon, Spurs are readying a final offer worth €70 million (£60.6m) to convince Pep Guardiola’s side.

Timing is crucial

Negotiations have been complicated by the Premier League clash between the two sides this weekend, with Savinho unavailable due to injury. City manager Pep Guardiola refused to give assurances about the winger’s future, but admitted:

“A few things are going to happen.”

This has left the door open for Spurs to make what is described as a “final approach” once the match is played.

City’s replacement plan: Rodrygo

If Savinho departs, City are already lining up a blockbuster replacement — Rodrygo of Real Madrid. Sources describe the Brazilian international as Guardiola’s “dream target”, though the deal would be hugely expensive.

Real Madrid are understood to be open to selling if Rodrygo himself requests an exit, though no such move has yet been made. City could face a fee in the region of €100m (£86.6m) to bring him in.

Window drama ahead

The situation sets up a fascinating final stretch of the transfer window:

  • Spurs desperate to land a new attacking star in Savinho.
  • City only willing to sell if the offer reaches their valuation.
  • Rodrygo potentially available, but only if Madrid and the player align on an exit.

Expect this saga to heat up rapidly once Spurs table their €70m offer in the coming days.
