Liverpool are reportedly preparing a move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola as a possible alternative to Alexander Isak, after their latest bid for the Newcastle striker was rejected.

According to L’Équipe, Barcola has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time, and with negotiations for Isak stalling, the Frenchman is now considered a top alternative. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is also mentioned as a potential target, but Barcola appears to be the most realistic option at this stage.

Despite already spending close to £300 million this summer on Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool are reportedly willing to splash out another €100 million (£85m) to secure Barcola’s signature.

The 21-year-old winger had a breakout season with PSG, showcasing blistering pace, flair, and a growing maturity in front of goal. He fits the profile of the dynamic forward Liverpool are seeking as they build for a new era under Arne Slot.

With Mohamed Salah’s long-term future still uncertain and Isak’s deal hanging in the balance, Barcola could become the latest high-profile addition to the Reds’ ambitious rebuild.
