Liverpool are in advanced negotiations to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, with the 23-year-old Frenchman reportedly pushing for a move to Anfield this summer.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, Ekitike has made it clear to Frankfurt that he wants to join Liverpool, and personal terms have already been discussed. The Reds had an initial bid turned down, but talks are ongoing, with Liverpool determined to get the deal done.
Liverpool turned their full attention to Ekitike after Newcastle United pulled out of the race, having learned that their top target Alexander Isak is not for sale. With Ekitike keen and Frankfurt willing to sell at the right price, the Merseyside club is confident about securing the striker.
