Chelsea have agreed the departures of midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Lesley Ugochukwu as they continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new season.
Dewsbury-Hall, who arrived last summer for £30 million from Leicester, is set to join Everton after struggling for game time at Stamford Bridge. Despite making 36 appearances, he featured for just 258 minutes in the Premier League, mostly playing in the Conference League. Everton will pay an initial £25 million, with add-ons taking the deal close to Chelsea’s original outlay.

Meanwhile, French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, who spent last season on loan at Southampton, is poised to join newly promoted Burnley. The Athletic reports that Burnley have secured the 20-year-old on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The competition in Chelsea’s midfield is intensifying, with the return of Andrey Santos from Strasbourg and the presence of Moisés Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, and Roméo Lavia. New signing Dário Essugo has also arrived from Sporting CP, further justifying the need to trim the squad.
Additionally, Carney Chukwuemeka is in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a possible move.
