According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Brighton & Hove Albion have made it clear that Carlos Baleba will not be leaving the club this summer.
Manchester United have been monitoring the midfielder closely and see him as an ideal long-term target for manager Rúben Amorim. While a deal is off the table for now, United will keep Baleba’s name on their shortlist for 2026.
Baleba, highly rated for his energy and ball-winning ability in midfield, has attracted growing interest across Europe. However, Brighton remain firm in their stance, insisting the 20-year-old will stay at the Amex Stadium at least for another season.
United’s admiration for Baleba reflects their plan to reinforce the midfield in the coming years, and while no move will happen in the current transfer window, he could still be part of Old Trafford’s future.
