Chelsea striker Marc Guiu is heading to the Championship for the 2025/26 season after Sunderland agreed a straight loan deal, with no buy option included. The 18-year-old talent will join coach Régis Le Bris’ project at the Stadium of Light, where he is expected to play a key role as their main striker.
While there’s no option to buy, Sunderland see Guiu as a crucial piece of their short-term ambitions to push for Premier League promotion. For Chelsea, it’s a calculated move — Guiu gains experience, and returns more complete in 2026.
