Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Omari Hutchinson on a five-year deal, adding another exciting talent to their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
The 20-year-old midfielder arrives from Ipswich Town, where he played a key role in their first top-flight campaign since 2002, registering three goals and two assists. His performances were a standout in Kieran McKenna’s side and earned him a permanent transfer to the City Ground.
Hutchinson also enjoyed a stellar summer on the international stage, helping England’s U21s lift the European Championship in Bratislava. He scored in the final as the Young Lions defeated Germany 3-2 to be crowned champions.
Having started his career at Arsenal before joining Chelsea in 2022, Hutchinson’s breakthrough came during a loan spell at Ipswich, where he helped them secure promotion before signing permanently. Known for his pace, dribbling ability, and versatility, he can operate on either wing or centrally behind the striker.
Speaking to club media, Hutchinson expressed his excitement about the move:
“I’m really excited to be here and can’t wait to get started. I’ve played at the City Ground a few times and it’s always felt like a hostile atmosphere, so I’m looking forward to playing here with the fans behind us. I’m going to give it my all — it’s a new chapter for me, but I feel ready.”
