Manchester United are in the midst of a busy transfer window, with notable signings like Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha already secured. Meanwhile, players such as Marcus Rashford (loan to Barcelona), Christian Eriksen, and Victor Lindelöf have departed Old Trafford.

Now, all eyes are on Alejandro Garnacho. Despite limited game time in pre-season and increasing speculation, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that reports linking the 21-year-old to Besiktas are completely false. Garnacho is not interested in a move to Turkey and is determined to stay in the Premier League.

Garnacho’s development has been affected by injuries and a mismatch with new head coach Ruben Amorim’s tactics. However, his raw potential remains unquestionable. With Rashford out on loan, United would struggle to justify letting another attacking option leave without a solid replacement in place.

Currently, the only natural wingers in the squad are Amad Diallo and new arrival Mbeumo, raising concerns about squad depth. If United are to sell Garnacho, they must secure a strong deal — unlike the zero-fee loan arrangement for Rashford. The Argentine is under contract until 2028, giving United leverage if Premier League clubs come calling.

At just 21 years old, Garnacho still has a bright future — and Manchester United would be wise to consider their next steps carefully.
